The Festival Z aims to be an open, transparent, and accessible space. That is why each year we choose the projects that will be part of the festival through an open call, from which we make a joint selection: the Z team chooses the participants for the first category, while an independent commission made up of young professionals from the performing arts is responsible for choosing the projects for the second and third categories. The three categories of participation are:
Modality 1: Exhibition
For finished projects. You will present your finished piece within the festival programme.
Modality 2: Creative residence and public demonstration of the process
For projects in an advanced stage of creation. You will be able to work in the piece in the spaces of the Festival Z and you will make a small exhibition as an opening of the creative process.
Modality 3: Presentation of projects in the pre-production phase
For shows in pre-production phase. You will be able to explain your embryonic idea to performing arts professionals from all over Catalonia, from whom you will be able to obtain support, advice and, if necessary, collaborations to carry out the project.
