Ireland’s Oxygen festival have added to this summers line up with news that the mighty Manic Street Preachers, the sensational Lady Gaga and US hip hop star The Game will be coming.
If that’s not all, music fans can expect British legends Squeeze and indie Gods James. Along with Foals, Friendly Fires and TV on the Radio.
They will not be the only addition to this years Oxegen festival. It will feature a brand new one of a kind Red Bull Music Academy Arena. It is due to make its debut appearance in Ireland and will boast headlining acts Ladyhawke and Florence & the Machine and Of Montreal, with more artists set to be confirmed.
They will join an excellent line-up that includes the return of Blur with US rockers The Killers and Kings of Leon headlining.
There is the reunited 80s ska great The Specials, to say nothing of Keane, Bloc Party, Elbow and Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds.
With The Script, Snow Patrol, Lily Allen, Katy Perry and former Babyshambles front man Peter Doherty. White Lies, The Ting Tings, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Pendulum, and Fight Like Apes will also be there. Music fans can then look forward to more confirmed artists being added to the line up, just as soon as we find out.

The festival is held on the weekend of Friday the 10th to Sunday the 12th of July 2009 at Punchestown Racecourse, Naas in County Kildare Ireland.
Tickets for the event are due to come out at 8am on Friday the 6th of March 2009.
They have been frozen to last years prices with €224.50 for 3 day including camping ticket. If you pay an extra €20 festival goers can buy a 4 day ticket which includes a camping ticket set to take in Thursday too.
The festival organisers are also offering a special ticket promotion in appreciation for those music lovers that bought Early Bird tickets before 31st December 08. They can have a €20 cash back on-site at the festival or in advance at where their event passes were picked up . In 2009 Oxegen is bringing in a Ticket Deposit Scheme. Ticket purchasers can pay a €120 deposit to secure tickets and pay the remaining balance before Thursday 30th April 2009. All ticket purchases are limited to 4 per person, and to encourage car pooling, one free car pass will be issued with every 4 tickets you buy.
