It has been announced that Razorlight will perform at the Isle of Wight Festival this summer. The Sterephonics will be sharing top billing alongside them, In which looks set to be their only festival in 2009.
“The Isle of wight festival is gonna be a great weekend.” said lead singer Kelly Jones.
“We’re recording most of the 1st half of this year so to step out of the studio and headline the festival this year with it being even bigger than when we played it a several years ago, will be a highlight for us! It’s gonna be rocking. Enough to make a bulldog wanna snap his chain.”
Razorlight will be headlining the event as part of their world tour.
They will be joining previously confirmed acts such as Fridays headliners The Prodigy, who will be appearing that day with Pendulum, The Ting Tings and Basement Jaxx.
Sunday will see headlining act The Charlatans take control to curate the BIg Top for the day.

The Isle Of Wight music fesytival is located at Seaclose Park, Newport in the Isle of Wight. It takes place on Friday the 12th till Sunday the 14th of June 2009.
The site boasts various stages and venues. They are made of up of a main stage in a natural amphitheatre. The event is deducted to bring music fans the biggest names and the latest up and coming talent
It will cost £140 for an adult ticket with camping which includes entertainment in the campsite on Thursday night, and £70 for a child ticket (12 years and under). The price of an adult ticket without camping is £120 and £60 for children (12 years and under).
