There are reports, as yet unconfirmed, that great Northern Irish band Snow Patrol and Las Vegas rockers The Killers are set to perform at this summers Oxegen Festival in Ireland.
They are believed to be joining hit US band Kings Of Leon, who are already down to headline the Main Stage. The bands will play over all three nights of the festival. Which looks set to make Oxegen one of the biggest music events in Europe.
The Killers will be performing songs from their critical acclaimed 2008 album Day & Age, which has been nominated for a Brits Award. Among other hits.
Snow Patrol’s appearance at Oxegen will be the icing on the cake of a promotional tour for their 2008 CD One Hundred Million Suns. They are set to perform at the O2 in Dublin on Feb 28 and March 1. Before embarking on an incredible four night run at Belfast’s Odyssey from the19th to 23rd of March.
The Oxegen 2009 music festival, brought to you by MCD, will take place at Punchestown Racecourse, Naas. It’ll be held over the weekend of the 10th, 11th and 12th of July.
