Masked metal merchants Slipknot will be playing at the this years heavy rock music festival Download. It has just been confirmed.
The American band stated on their website (here).that they are lined up to appear on the Saturday at Donington Park, Castle Donington, in Leicestershire
All nine member of the frightening and mysterious Slipknot will be back at the Download festival for the first time in four years. They will be promoting their new CD ‘All Hope Is Gone’, as well as playing blood pumping tunes from their three other albums.
The Download heavy rock festival has been held annually since 2002. It is due to take place this year on Friday 12th to Sunday 14th June 2009. However, the site of the event will look different. This is down to a land development scheduled to be taking place at Donington Park. It is due to become a location for Formula One racing. This will lead to the Download site being a little more compressed.
However, this is certain not to curb the energy of the festival.
Download is sure to rock in 2009. Although, for the moment, there is no confirmation of which performers wil be coming.
