The organizers of this summers Rock Ness Music festival have announced what artists will play at their Bollywood Arena.

Friday sees the first ever Rock Ness celebration, in association with Glasgow’s Soma Records label. It boasts such acts as The Black Dog, Mr Copy, Decimal, Octogen,Harvey McKay, Mark Henning and Funk D`Void.

The Saturday will see an exclusive batch of exciting DJ sets, in association with the Paris dance music label Ed Banger Records. It will feature appearances from the likes of Krazy Baldhead, DJ Feadz, DJ Mehdi and Busy P.

The Bollywood Arena reaches its conclusion on the Sunday,when one of Glasgow leading night spots, Sub Club, takes control to mark its 22nd birthday.

They will be bringing music lovers such artists as Cotton Cake, Numbers feat. Jackmaster, Hype feat. Boom Monk Ben. To say nothing of Kinky Afro and Sensu. It will end with Optimo and Subculture feat Harri,Domenic and Telford.

We look forward to a fantastic weekend.”

Soma is and has been a massively important part of both the Scottish and the international electronic dance music scene since we started out in 1991″ commented the head of Soma Records, Glenn Gibbons.

” It’s great that Rock Ness recognises that and that they are showcasing some of our established, and emerging, local and international talent.”

This latest batch of artists will be joined those acts already confirmed, such as Placebo and The Flaming Lips that headline on Friday.

Orbital, Basement Jaxx, and Dizzee Rascal will headline on Saturday. The Prodigy and Biffy Clyro who will bring the festival to a close on Sunday.

Other artists expecting to perform by the banks of Loch Ness include The Wombats, Super Furry Animals, David Guetta, Erol Alkan, and noted DJs Rob Da Bank and Zane Lowe, among many others.

It is expected that over a hundred artists will be appearing at this years Rock Ness festival.

All ticket types are now on sale with 1 day, 2 day or 3 day tickets available, and camping available. Rock Ness also enables festival goers to park and camp directly beside the Arena.

If you are not planning on camping, tickets will cost you £55 for a day ticket (Friday £45), £105 for 2 day (Sat + Sun) or £130 for a 3 day non camping ticket.
