It has been revealed that Placebo has been added to the line up of this years Rock Ness music, by the world famous Scottish Loch.
The band will play an exclusive festival spot in Scotland when they fill the headline on Sunday. They will, apparently, be performing brand new, previously unheard tracks. It will be a stop on a world wide tour to promote their latest as-yet-untitled CD.
“Placebo are a really great band live and when you listen to his lyrics you can see why Brian Molko is one his generation’s great rock poets.” said Jim King, director of Rock Ness.
“These guys rarely tour and so catching them at RockNess is a real must for the summer.”
Placebo are the latest confirmed headliner for the exciting music event, in the beautiful Scottish landscape.
The Flaming Lips will be headlining on Friday. Along with Orbital, Basement Jaxx and Dizzee Rascal on Saturday. Biffy Clyro and The Prodigy will bring the festival to an end on the Sunday
The organizers of Rock Ness have previously announced appearances from artists such as The Wombats, Super Furry Animals, David Guetta and Erol Alkan. There will also be sets from major DJs such as Radio Ones Zane Lowe, Rob Da Bank, among others. It is thought that other a hundred performers will be at the festival.
