It seems that even music events are not immune to the affects of the Global credit crisis, but one summer estival is striking back.
The organisers of the Oxegen music festival have announced that they are putting a price freeze on the tickets for this years event, when they come out on FRiday the 6th of March.
They will still cost the same as 2008: €224.50.
The Oxegen festival is one of the hottest music events in Ireland all year.
Artists confirmed to headline this years festival include The Killer, Snow Patrol Blur and Kings of Leon.
They will appear alongside Razoright, Elbow and Katy Perry.
Music fans will be able to buy priority pre-sale tickets from Wednesday 25th February. However,they have to register through the festival web site before hand.
Oxegen are offering a promotion in the hope of increasing sales. A free pass to the car park with every four tickets that you buy.
You could also have an Early Bird Reward where if you have purchased your tickets before the 31st of December 2008 then you could have a €20 cash-back.
If that weren’t all, organizers have a Flexible Payment option, where fans can buy a ticket if they put down a €120 deposit.
Oxegen Festival takes place from 10th – 12th July at Ireland’s Punchestown Racecourse.
