It has just been confirmed that Australian punk rockers Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds will be playing at this year’s T in the Park.

The band have been together since 1983 and have become renowned for their atmospheric bluesy rock songs. A tradition they stick to in their new 20o8 album ‘Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!!’

Cave has recently made a name for himself in the film industry. He has composed the score for many movies and had even written the script for the Australian Guy Pearce Ray Winstone western The Proposition.

However, he will be back playing with his band The Bad Seeds this summer.

This will be their debut performance at T in the Park,

Former guitarist with Australian garage rockers The Saints, Ed Kuepper, will be accompanying them on their various festival dates.

Kuepper will take the spot left by the Bad Seeds founding member, guitarist Mick Harvey. He parted ways with the band after playing alongside them for a quarter of a century.

Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds will be apart of a line up that so far includes acts such as Blur, Razorlight, Snow Patrol and Kings of Leon. Not to mention Elbow,Katy Perry, Pendulum and Pete Doherty. Along with White Lies and Yeah Yeah Yeahs, among others, with more acts yet to be named.

T In The Park will take place over the weekend of Friday 10th to Sunday 12th July, at Balado, in Scotland.
