Line Up Announced For V Festival 2009

This years V music festival has announced the line up of acts set to rock the crowd at this summers twin events. Due to take place at Hylands Park, Chelmsford, Essex and Weston Park, Staffordshire simultaneously.

The V Festival will have US band The Killers and the unstoppable Gallagher brothers Oasis headlining, according to the festival web site.

The Las Vegas outfit, headed by Brandon Flowers. will take top billing at Chelmsford on Saturday and Stafford on the Sunday.

Oasis, on the other hand, will close Staffordshire on the Saturday and headline Chelmsford on Sunday.

The line up confirmed for V will feature such artists as a returning Specials, Snow Patrol, Elbow, Razorlight and Keane, Fat boy Slim, Pendulum, The Ting Tings, MGMT, The Streets and The Wombats.

Other acts due to appear include Scotland’s Paolo Nutini and Biffy Clyro. Ireland’s The Script. The lovely Alesha Dixon. The feisty Lily Allen. The folk singer Seasick Steve. The legendary James and Happy Mondays. The sexy Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, The Saturdays and Taylor Swift.

They will perform alongside a solo Pete Doherty, James Morrison, Dizzee Rascal, The Enemy and Ocean Colour Scene. With more acts set to be added to the line up.

The V Festival is set to take place over the weekend of Saturday the 22nd to Sunday the 23rd of August 2009.

The tickets are due to come out for sale to the general public on Friday the 6th of March at 10am.

They are expected to cost around £150 w/e (with camping), £130 w/e (no camping.
