The organisers of this years T in The Park music festival at Balado have announced a huge batch of artists that they have added to their line up. These include Keane, Bloc Party and Franz Ferdinand.
They will be accompanying those artists already confirmed to play, such as Blur, Kings Of Leon,The Killers and Snow Patrol. Along with Katy Perry,Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Elbow, Razorlight.
The line up also features Pendulum, White Lies, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and former Babyshambles front man Pete Doherty.
They will be best selling artists as James Morrison, Lily Allen, The Script and Scotland’s own Paolo Nutini.
Manic Street Preachers, James. Jason Mraz and Maximo Park.
There are also spots for The Ting Tings,Mogwai,The Mars Volta, Slam and The Airborne Toxic Event.
The latest confirmations for T In The Park also features performances from folk musician Seasick Steve, novelty ABBA tribute act Bjorn Again and veteran bands Squeeze and The Specials, who are marking thirty years together.
This years event an eclectic line up with Dave Clarke, Felix Da Housecat, Beardyman, Simian Mobile Disco and The Gaslight Anthem. To say nothing of Claude Von Sroke, Hockey and Silicone Soul, among others.
T In The Park 2009 will also boast the debut of a brand new BBC Introducing Stage. That, just as its name suggests, will highlight unsigned and undiscovered DJs and artists.
“We’ve taken four of the biggest names in the world as headliners, added recent Grammy and Brit Award winners along with some of the hottest international talent from across the globe and brought you the beginnings of the line up for T in the Park 2009.” commented Geoff Ellis, director of the festival.
“With a world renowned audience, it’s no wonder our early bird allocation of tickets sold out in under a day but T in the Parkers will get another chance to buy when tickets go on sale this Friday at 9am. Plus we’ve loads more still to announce and can’t wait to see you in July!”
The festival will open a day early for the first time this year. Music lovers can go to T in The Park on the Friday. However, they must have purchased a weekend coach ticket (without camping) beforehand. The new three day ticket includes day access on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and three return Citylink journeys.
The festival will run from Friday the 10th to Sunday the 12th of July 2009.at Balado in Scotland.
Saturday and Sunday combined tickets are priced at £137, a weekend camping (including Friday arena access) ticket is priced at £160, car park tickets which must be bought in advance are priced at £17.50, and a Thursday camping upgrade is priced at £10.
Tickets will be available for purchase on Friday the 27th of February at 9am.
