The line up of T in the Park keeps getting bigger, with the news that Las Vegas rockers The Killers are set to headline the main stage.

The band, who have had such hits as ‘Mr Brightside’ and ‘Somebody Told Me’, among others, will be playing at T In the Park for the fourth time this summer. Having first played the Radio 1/NME Stage five years ago.

One of their greatest moments at the festival happened a year later, in 2005, when they performed the classic ‘Crystal’ on stage with New Order.

In 2009, the band will now be showcasing tracks from their new album ‘Day and Age’ which has been nominated for two NME Awards.

The Killers have a number of important gigs coming up such as a charity event in aid of War Child at the Shepherds Bush Empire in London. They are also set to play at the Oxegen music festival In Ireland. An event which often shares artists with T in The Park.

Therefore, the Vegas outfit will join a line up off over 180 performers.set to play over 11 stages at Balado in Scotland on Friday 10th to Sunday 12th July.

Other acts as yet confirmed include Blur, Snow Patrol, Kings of Leon, Razorlight, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Elbow, Katy Perry, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, White Lies, Pendulum and Pete Doherty and White Lies. With more artists on the way.
