This guy is up to his tricks again this year as my wife was ripped off by him when purchasing tickets for T in the park and she knows of several people in her working enviroment who have been duped by him too. The worst thing is the police have been notified of his fraudulant behaviour but their lack of action thus far speaks volumes. Contemplating contacting the press to highlight this crime. Hopefully what goes around comes around for this loser during his next visit to prison.

What about someone going under the name of John Carno??

My friend just dealt with him for some festival weekend tickets (also through Gumtree) and i must admit, it doesn’t look good.

Paid deposit and now communication have died out all together.

Also based in Edinburgh (apparently)

M Burgess, that’s exactly the same info I got from this Cardno prick, including a copy of the same ticket reference! I don’t have a copy of his passport though and would like one if possible.
I’ve just reported him to the police for defrauding me and provided them with a printout of all the posts on this thread so that they know how many people he has scammed. If anybody wants to contact me, I’ll happily provide details of which officer is dealing with this in Lothian & Borders Police.

Just looked up this guys name on google and found this! How stupid do I feel:( I bought a T in the Park ticket for my daughters 21st birthday from John Cardno, he gave me a copy of his passport, his mobile number and a copy of the booking reservation. Does anyone else have the booking reservation 20-54321/uk3? I called Ticket master and it looks like he did buy at least 2 tickets……probably for himself! He met me outside the Edinburgh dungeons and said he lived on Leith Walk, however, not knowing Edinburgh or being from there, it meant nothing to me. I really believed him and took him at face value. He said he couldnt go as he was going abroad and he couldnt afford both. I will know in future to look up on here for any other con-men.
