The big news is that all of the tickets for the Glastonbury Festival have gone.
The event has sold out months early The few remaining tickets available to buy due to a popular deposit scheme, were all scooped up.
However, there is still hope.
The scheme was set up by festival organisers in Oct 2008 to meet the demand for early tickets. It turns out that most music lovers wishing to attend made their full payment in time, before Sunday. Then safely beating the 1st of February deadline.
Those who hadn’t paid up their balance will get a £40 refund on their deposit. Put on their that they used to make it.
“We’re chuffed to bits that we’ve managed to sell so many tickets so far ahead, especially when you look at the weather outside.” said Emily Eavis, event organiser.
“Thanks to everyone for keeping the faith; it’s certainly shaping up to be another vintage year for Glastonbury Festival, with a brilliant line up to be unveiled in June.”
There is a second batch of tickets due for release on Sunday the 5th of April 2009,at nine o’clock in the morning.The tickets will cost £175 (plus a booking fee of £5). However, you have to be registered in advance, to be eligible to purchase one.

You can send away for a registration form (enclosing an SAE) by writing to Glastonbury,PO Box 2445, Glasgow G40 9AG. You must register before 5pm on Tuesday 31st March. The closing date, until the next batch of main tickets come out.
However, Any cancelled or returned tickets will be resold on the 5th of April.
