The Rock Ness Festival have added artists to this years music event by the loch.

It has been announced that excellent US act The Flaming Lips will headline the Main Stage on Friday.

Along with Welsh rockers Super Furry Animals, indie band The Wombats,there will be noted dance DJs such as Rob Da bank, Zane Lowe and Pete Tong among others.

It will be going on from the Friday 12th until Sunday 14th June. In the beautiful surroundings of the famous Loch Ness in Scotland.

Those famous DJs will be joining other brilliant dance acts included on the line up. Masters of electronica like DJ Yoda, Erol Alkan, David Guetta, Crookers and Brodinski

The new additions to this year’s line up are all fantastic acts. The Flaming Lips’ live performances are always unique and fit right in to the ethos of Rock Ness. It’s going to be the first time they have played Scotland for a while and the band are promising to come up with another spectacular show.”commented Jim King director of Rock Ness.

“The Super Furries are festival favourites of ours and we’ve been after them for a couple of years so it’s really brilliant they are with us this year especially with their new album. Pete Tong, Erol Alkan, Zane Lowe, Robby da Bank and Crookers and not forgetting David Guetta mean that the famous Rock Ness party vibe will continue strongly and that we’ll definitely have the biggest party weekend of 2009.”

The latest batch of names confirmed to play at Loch Ness include dance greats Orbtal ,Basement Jaxx, British hip hop star Dizzee Rascal and home grown rockers Biffy Clyro will play on the Saturday.The Prodigy will then rock the Sunday.

The organisers have also announced that, for the first time this year, the main stage of Rock Ness will feature artists on an extra night, when it opens a day early, on Friday.

Ticket buyers can make a down payment of £30 and pay the balance later.

There were a small amount of Early Bird tickets available. All tickets are now on sale with 1 day, 2 day or 3 day tickets available, and camping available. Rock Ness also enables festival goers to park and camp directly beside the Arena.

Non camping tickets will cost £55 for day ticket (Friday £45), £105 for 2 day (Sat + Sun) .

Non camping ticket, or £130 for 3 day non camping ticket.

Camping Tickets: £122 for 2 day (Sat + Sun) camping ticket, or £139 for 3 day camping ticket.

Campsites will open at 10am on the Friday, and with the Nesstival area opening as normal in the afternoon and offering a diverse weekend of entertainment.
