Camp Bestival, the sister music event to Bestival, will be back this summer. It will be held at Lulworth Castle, on the Jurassic coast line of Dorset, over the weekend of Friday the 24th to Sunday the 26th of July 2009 and it promises to be a lot of fun.
Camp Besival looks to bring back the feeling of the old fashioned British holiday camp. Just like Butlins or the tv show `Hi-de-Hi`. Wit a full programme of music, comedy, literature and performances of the spoken word.
Although the line up of acts for this years event have yet to be confirmed.
There are however Early bird tickets on sale. With an adult weekend ticket is priced at £120, or £60 for a child (aged 12 to 16). Children under-12 free (but require a ticket), and camper vans cost £60 per vehicle. Camper vans must be adapted to let festival goers stay wit in them. If your vehicle is longer than 7 metres you will need to buy two Camper van Tickets. Cars will not be allowed into the Camper van area and nether will Caravans or Trailer Tents etc .

Camp Bestival boasts the same features as previous events such as luxury tents, tipis and yurts. Along with bivouacs, airstreams, and gypsy caravans.
There is also a Kids Area. Plus Lulworth Castle has its very own Animal Farm where the kids can visit the animals.
However organisers are promising bigger campsites, as well as better family facilities and more car parks for 2009
